I have a mid 30's female, very fit, loves to run half marathons and those crazy obstacle courses! She is presenting with pain over the right psoas insertion onto the lesser trochanter - (as far as I can gather from palpation). Pain is aggravated by hill sprints in particular or running longer than 5km on the flat. She also gets right sided QL pain. Her pain is not intense, but limits her in her pursuits.
I've given her some strengthening exercises for glut max & med on the right side which are particularly weak, Obviously balanced up lumbars and pelvis which actually move really well. Lots of pelvic floor releases too. Any other treatment suggestions...
(ps: tried a really cool psoas origin & insertion balance on her today which worked a treat - good one for sharing I think!)
